Though they declined to speak on their mission, but when pressed further at the Sultan Abubakar III international airport, Sokoto, the Jigawa state governor, Sule Lamido said they were in the state in continuation of their consultations with eminent Nigerian leaders on the complex socio-political and security challenges facing the nation.
“Just as we have visited other states in the recent past, the same thing brought us to Sokoto to fine tune ways and solutions to the country’s multiple problems.
You know Nigeria’s fundamental problem lies on security challenges which we are working round the clock to tackle so that it can be overcome”, he added.
